Monday, September 19th, 2011Monthly Challenges!
Sunday, September 18th, 2011Hey y’all! Beth here..I wanted to tell y’all about the challenges we have going each month! We have several challenges that are monthly challenges and some that are twice a month challenges.
First, a little on how our challenges work..we have an open gallery, so you may use ANY kit to do your challenges with. (no offsite linking allowed.) For each challenge you complete (all layouts must be unique to that challenge) you will get xx amount of points. For instance, the template challenge is 25 points…you can get 50 points a month JUST from doing both template challenges. When you reach 500 points, you will get a pm asking for your email address & we will send you a $5.00 gift certificate to our store to purchase personal use products from the designer(s) of your choice. If you go over 500 challenge points in any given month the remaining balance will roll over to the next month.
GIFT CERTIFICATES are NOT TRANSFERABLE.
Each challenge is worth 25 points, except for “A Year in Your Life” which is a weekly challenge & worth 15points a week. Also, the Quacking Up challenge is a post challenge, if you increase your post count by 100-199 posts, you receive 50 points. If you increase your post count by 200+ you get 100 points!! WOWSA!
We also have Speed Scraps! We do speed scraps once a week, and for each speed scrap you will receive a portion of a kit that the SDD designers designed SPECIFICALLY for the speed scrap participation prize! This month you will receive Furr Babies.
Speaking of…there’s a speed scrap TONIGHT at 9pm Eastern/8pm Central/7pm Mountain/6pm Pacific (which is 2am GMT & 11am Monday, Sept 19 in Australia/Brisbane)
Now, on to me, I am hosting the template challenge for this half of the month, and have provided this template to work with.
So come in, join us, have fun and earn kits!!
Until next time, Happy Scrapping!!

Feelin’ Fallish? NEW release and it’s on sale!
Saturday, September 10th, 2011Hi SDD fans! Mandy here and I have a new release out called Feelin’ Fallish. With the HOT HOT temperatures this summer and a thousand children running around here (okay, there were only six – plus friends – but somedays it felt and sounded like a thousand!), I have been EAGERLY ANTICIPATING autumn…cooler weather, routine and I can reclaim the house without having my efforts destroyed before I leave the room!
Feelin’ Fallish is a gorgeous page set that’s perfect for those late summer/early fall photos. It includes ten patterned papers, six solid papers, over fifty elements and a complete alpha (a-z, 0-9 and punctuation). Created at 300dpi and drop shadows for preview purposes only.

Be sure not to miss the coordinating Feelin’ Fallish hodgepodge set! WHAT is hodgepodge you ask? I make a hodgepodge set to coordinate with just about every page kit. It’s a fun set of accents that are colorful and versatile…use them to matte a photo or title, layer them in clusters or add them to a solid background to create your own unique paper!

Don’t forget about my September Grab Bag either! It’s still for sale and fully revealed on my blog if you’re not one for surprises. I will tell you that it’s packed full of a coordinating bundle, perfect for those autumn photos!

Thanks for taking the time to look…hope you have an AWESOME weekend!

Q: How did you get into digital scrapbooking?
A: I’ve always been a traditional paper scrapper, but in 2008 I bought photoshop so I could edit my photos. From there I started digi-scrapbooking.
Q: How long have you been designing/scrapping?
A: I’ve been designing since sometime in 2009 – I can’t remember exactly when. I found that I was making a lot of the elements and papers for my own layouts and from there it just became more fun to make the whole kit.
Q: What others things you do when you have free time?
A: My daytime job is working with autistic children in a public school but my hobbies are decorating, gardening, crafts and I love to crochet.
Q: Where do you go for inspiration?
A: I usually start with a group of photos that I want to scrap with and make a kit to go with them
Q: Are you able to balance between designing and family?
A: My children are all grown and in college, so it’s just hubby, my collie and work. I think it would be much harder if I had small children at home.
Q: One thing you wish someone had told you when you started designing first?
A: I wish someone had told me I wouldn’t be actually scrapping as much as I’d like too.
Q: Are you Organized?
A: I’m actually pretty well organized but I’m a terrible procrastinator. Something I have to work on!
Q: Any input for new or aspiring designers?
A: Do this if you love it, view it as a hobby and creative outlet and not for the money.
Q: Do you have a idol? Designing/scraping?
A: All the designers at Scrappity Doo Dah are awe inspiring!
Q: Do you have a online BFF/s?
A: I’ve met some incredibly wonderful people that have really enriched my life.
Q: Most Favorite kit/s?
A: Probably my baseball kit – I made that for my son’s high school varsity baseball photos.
Q: Do you have dream collab partner?
A: There are so many to choose from that it would be hard to say.
Q: Any guitly pleasures?
A: I don’t watch much TV – but I absolutely love American Idol and Dancing with the Stars. Which is strange, because I can’t sing or dance, lol!
Q: Are you a early bird or night owl?
A: In the summer when I’m on vacation, I like to stay up late but during the school year I have wake up at 5:00 am so I try to get to sleep by 10:00. I guess that makes me a sometimes earlybird.
Q: Does your family support your digi-love?
A: Well, I suppose they’re happy that I’m not a helicopter mom at college, but on the other hand I use them in a lot of my layouts for examples so they sometimes get a bit embarrassed although they don’t really mind.
Q: Where do you see as a digital designer in 5 years?
A: I’d like to think that I’m still working at the hobby I love and hopefully working at SDD
Q: Link us to some of your favorite products?
A: My favorite kit right now is proably Grand Slam
![]()
Q: Favorite layout you have done?
Q: What are your favorite colors?
A: I really love blue and then probably anything that goes with blue.
Q: What would you do if you have a whole day to yourself?
A: I’d probably spend half of it on a computer and then other half would be going for a bike ride.
Q: Name your fave band?
A: I’m really loving Adele right now.
Q: One thing no one knows abt you?
A: I bike to school (work) each day
Q: Anything you want to say to your customers?
A: I’d love to see your layouts made with my kits- please feel free to send me a quick pm and let me know if you plop one up!
Q: Anything else you want to add?
A: I hope everyone is enjoying the peace and quiet now that the kids are back in school

Hi, everyone! My name is Amy, the designer behind 3 Li’l Monsters Designs. I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself today!
I am a stay-at-home (or I guess work-at-home) mom to my 3 little monsters, who I also homeschool. I am so proud and blessed to be their mom. Kenzie is 9… going on 21. Abby is 6. And Samuel is 3. Almost all of my kits are in some way inspired by them.
Our normal day consists of getting up, dressed, and ready for the day. After which, we get chores finished. And then we get started on school. Today is our first official day of school, so I am a little nervous about how school will go today! But they are excited to get back to school.
I usually do my designing in between helping with school, chores, etc. And I also do a lot of my designing after they go to bed at night. I love designing, as it gives me a little bit of a creative outlet without making a huge mess! Which we have plenty of already!
I was a scrapper first, before becoming a designer. And I still like to sit down and scrap every once in a while! Here is my latest scrapbook page created with my upcoming kit.

This layout was created with my kit that is going to be released on Sept. 9, called Mister Moon. The kit was inspired by my little guy. Every night he asks me “where Mister Moon is?” It’s the cutest thing. So part of our bedtime routine is telling Mister Moon “night-night.” In the morning, he says “Where Mister Moon is?” and I tell him Mister Moon is sleeping now, and Mister Sun is here. So I had to make a kit to scrap the cuteness.
I have created you a frame freebie that matches the kit.
Download here.
And be sure and comment in this thread at DST, for a chance to win the kit for free!!!
Enjoy!
Happy Monday Everyone!
